The Liveable Communities Grants program offers $4 million in funding over four years for projects that improve the lives of older people living in NSW.
The NSW Government created the Liveable Communities Grants program to capture the energy of Australian innovators and focus it on defining what it will mean to age well in the 21st century.
The program will support a range of ideas for new and improved programs, platforms and ventures that will help older people to live, learn, care, share, contribute and connect.
What are liveable communities?
Liveable communities enable all people, regardless of age or ability, to lead active, independent, healthy lives and access their community freely and safely.
For more information regarding liveable communities please see the World Health Organisation’s report on Global Age-friendly Cities.

The funding supports projects from non-government organisations, local councils, universities and small businesses.
To bring out the very best from shortlisted applicants, FACS partnered with the Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) to incubate ideas into fully fledged projects.
